Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2-3 years related work experience or equivalent combination
  • prior experience in food service
  • valid ServSafe or approved Food Handler Certification
  • ability to stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push and pull items up to 50 lbs
  • manual dexterity
  • able to work flexible hours
  • adherence to uniform and personal hygiene standards

Job Qualifications

  • prior experience in related food service positions
  • valid ServSafe or Food Handler Certification
  • strong working knowledge of restaurant operations
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation
  • proficiency in quality guest service
  • understanding of safe work habits and procedures

  • ability to follow instructions

Job Duties

  • Prepares or directs preparation of food served using established production procedures and systems
  • determines amount and type of food and supplies required using production systems
  • ensures availability of supplies and approved substitutions in adequate time for preparation
  • sets steam table
  • complies with sanitation, personal hygiene, and health standards
  • observes proper food preparation and handling techniques
  • stores food properly and safely, marking date and item
  • reports necessary equipment repair and maintenance
  • plans food production to coordinate with meal serving hours
  • apportions food for serving
  • maintains daily production records
  • keeps work area neat and clean including dishwashing
  • cleans and maintains equipment used in food preparation
  • completes food temperature checks before service
  • completes requirements for training, attendance, and dress codes
  • supports company mission and values
  • participates in safety, confidentiality, quality assurance, and compliance procedures
  • cooperates with coworkers using tactful communication
  • promotes positive public relations with guests
  • performs other duties as required
