Job Requirements
- Previous experience preferred
- Must be ServSafe certified within one year of employment
- Hampton Roads Fats, Oil, and Grease Training aka HR F.O.G. Certification required
- Ability to prepare hot and cold food items
- Capable of assembling assorted diet foods
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must comply with health and safety regulations
Job Qualifications
- ServSafe certification within one year of employment
- Hampton Roads Fats, Oil, and Grease Training certification
- Previous experience in institutional food preparation preferred
- Three years experience in institutional food preparation or related field desirable
- Ability to follow special dietary requirements
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
Job Duties
- Prepare hot and cold food including vegetables, salad, baking, proteins, and desserts
- Work with special diets and assemble assorted diet food
- Serve meals in a resident dining area
- Prepare next day breakfast, lunch, or dinner
- Prepare catering and special event meals
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area
