Job Duties
- prepares food daily as outlined on the menus
- alters or adapts recipes to accommodate special dietary needs or improve recipes
- ensures attractive presentation of food before serving
- coordinates and participates in serving food
- monitors portion control to meet residents requests and minimize waste
- maintains an accurate record of chargeable meals and submits record monthly
- assists with menu planning and reviews with Dietary Manager
- identifies food and supplies needed and reports to Dietary Manager
- prepares meats for storage and portion control upon delivery
- ensures proper handling storage and labeling of delivered foods
- maintains a clean orderly safe and sanitary kitchen environment
- ensures compliance with all regulations
- assists in training other kitchen staff
- performs other duties as assigned
- complies with all policies and procedures
