Job Requirements

  • Minimum of one year experience as a prep or line cook
  • Must hold DOH accreditation or Safe Serve certification
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen
  • Physical capability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to food safety and hygiene standards

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of one year prep or line cook experience preferably in a high-volume cafe environment
  • DOH accreditation or Safe Serve Certified
  • Attention to detail

Job Duties

  • Contributes positively to the team environment
  • Understands and complies with standard portion sizes and cooking methods
  • Prepares, cooks and assembles food following recipes and special diet orders
  • Works with front of house to ensure accurate and timely food orders
  • Preps ingredients for peak trade and meets 10-minute ticket times
  • Communicates with teammates to enhance local satisfaction
  • Stores food properly and marks dates
  • Maintains cleanliness of kitchen workstations and equipment
  • Receives and unpacks kitchen and food deliveries
  • Reports equipment or food quality issues to management
