Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • at least 1 year of professional cooking experience
  • must have or be able to obtain a current food handler card
  • availability to work any shift including weekends
  • minimum age of 18 years
  • ability to stand for long periods
  • ability to lift moderate weights

Job Duties

  • assist chef/kitchen manager in daily activities
  • consult with chef/kitchen manager to coordinate timing of orders and production schedules
  • produce sandwiches, salads, entrees, catering trays, and soups for hot and cold cases
  • perform counter work during busy periods
  • deliver assigned orders timely
  • assist with ordering and maintaining inventory of fresh, frozen, and sundry products
  • train new kitchen workers and assistants
  • prepare deep fried, baked, stove top foods, and salads
  • maintain positive relations with customers, vendors, and employees
  • maintain health and safety sanitation requirements
  • have a current food handler card
