Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in a similar cooking or food preparation role preferred
  • ability to follow standardized recipes and portion control
  • strong communication skills
  • physical stamina to stand and lift heavy items
  • adherence to food safety and sanitation regulations
  • availability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Comprehensive understanding of the English language
  • must be able to lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 lbs. to include serving trays, carts, tables, chairs, and small equipment up to 75% of the time
  • ability to stand for long periods of time without sitting or leaning
  • able to work in a high-pressure environment
  • knowledge of basic sanitary guidelines
  • must be able to hear with 100% accuracy with correction
  • must be able to see 20/20 vision with correction
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and consistency
  • strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • team-oriented with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and portion sizes
  • ensure all food is prepared to the highest quality standards for taste, presentation, and safety
  • maintain a clean and organized work environment, following food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • assist with the proper storage and rotation of food to minimize waste and ensure freshness
  • monitor and maintain inventory levels of ingredients, supplies, and equipment
  • collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient kitchen operations and timely food preparation
  • follow all health and safety regulations and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
  • perform other duties as assigned by the Kitchen Manager or Head Chef
  • break down cardboard boxes and place them and other recyclables in the recycle bin
  • actively participate in Safety Plan and energy improvements
  • communicate both verbally and in writing to provide clear directives to staff
  • comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis
  • perform any other job-related duties as assigned
