Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least one year of relevant cooking experience
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Prior cooking or kitchen experience in a cafeteria or large volume production facility a plus
  • Experience with safety procedures typical in a cafeteria or food service environment

Job Duties

  • Refer to Daily Prep List at the start of each shift for assigned duties and completes opening and closing checklists daily
  • Set up workstation with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
  • Safely use a variety of kitchen utensils including knives and other items
  • Operate a variety of equipment including ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers
  • Comply consistently with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, kitchen rules, recipes, policies, and procedures
  • Handle, store, label, and rotate all products properly in accordance with applicable laws
  • Properly stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products at line stations
  • Understand menu items and responsible for prepping ingredients
  • Multitask in a high-volume kitchen and handle hot and cold work conditions
  • Perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, walking, and standing for extended periods
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
