Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent certificate
  • minimum two years experience in food preparation, purchasing, and sanitation
  • proficiency in reading and understanding English
  • ability to follow instructions and recipes accurately
  • positive attitude towards working with senior residents
  • may be required to hold valid First Aid Certification

Job Duties

  • prepare and cook nutritious and tasteful meals for residents and guests
  • ensure adherence to food safety and sanitation standards
  • assist with food purchasing and inventory management
  • read and follow recipes, menus, and food labels accurately
  • collaborate with the dining services team to plan menus
  • maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
  • demonstrate a positive attitude and work effectively with elderly residents
