Job Requirements

  • prior kitchen experience required
  • ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation
  • availability to work full time Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm
  • adherence to company policies and safety procedures including the use of protective gloves and slip-resistant shoes
  • commitment to maintaining cleanliness and safety in the kitchen
  • ability to follow portion control and food temperature standards

Job Qualifications

  • prior kitchen experience
  • knowledge of food safety standards such as HACCP
  • ability to prepare food according to recipes and presentation standards
  • good communication and teamwork skills
  • ability to maintain cleanliness and safety in the kitchen environment
  • basic record-keeping and inventory management skills

Job Duties

  • prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules
  • serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning, meeting outlined standards, ensuring that food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty
  • uses established ticket collection procedures during service
  • cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness
  • stores or discards excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures
  • keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and neat
  • operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed
  • assists in production planning, record keeping and reporting as required
