Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • 1-3 years experience in meal preparation in a full-service kitchen environment
  • Ability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays based on event schedule
  • Ability to work well with team members in a professional manner
  • Must be able to follow directions and work independently
  • Physical ability to stand and walk for long hours
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds
  • Must maintain personal appearance conforming to dress code
  • Valid Food Handlers Card required

Job Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • 1-3 years experience preparing meals in a full-service kitchen such as a restaurant, hotel, resort, or convention center
  • Ability to work with other staff members effectively
  • Ability to complete multiple tasks and prioritize
  • Creative in buffet food presentations and maintaining quality
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrates initiative and sound judgment
  • Attention to detail
  • Valid Food Handlers Card

Job Duties

  • Fulfilling the service per each Banquet Event Order (BEO)
  • Cleaning kitchen equipment as assigned
  • Designing creative buffet food presentations
  • Measuring and mixing ingredients according to recipes
  • Tasting and seasoning foods accordingly
  • Prepping and preparing meats such as beef, chicken, and fish
  • Ensuring final cooking temperatures of meats per Pima Health Code
  • Washing, peeling, cutting, and shredding vegetables and fruits
  • Maintaining clean, organized, and sanitized work area
  • Adhering to state sanitation and health regulations and TCC requirements
  • Keeping food storage areas clean, organized, labeled, and dated
  • Communicating with Kitchen Supervisor and Executive Chef
  • Maintaining a positive and professional work environment
  • Following directions from Kitchen Supervisor and Executive Chef
  • Reporting to work on time in proper uniform
  • Filling out all HACCP Control paperwork as directed
