Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Complete training as required by State regulations
  • Obtain Food Handlers Permit as required by State regulations
  • Six months prior experience in food service preferred
  • Pass all health requirements and background checks
  • Experience working with the elderly
  • Demonstrate compassion for and desire to work with elderly
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Complete training as required by State regulations
  • Six months prior experience in a food service department preferred
  • Supervisory experience desirable
  • Obtain Food Handlers Permit as required by State regulations
  • Experience working with the elderly
  • Compassion and desire to work with the elderly
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, vendors, and public
  • Ability to work responsibly both as a team member and individual

Job Duties

  • Work closely with Dining Services Manager to coordinate food ordering and preparation
  • Ensure food is prepared in a nutritional and appetizing fashion
  • Maintain supplies and kitchen equipment
  • Uphold kitchen sanitation and safety standards
  • Provide excellent customer service to residents, families, and staff
  • Communicate effectively with vendors and general public
  • Support teamwork and individual responsibilities in daily operations
