Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Complete training as required by State regulations
- Obtain Food Handlers Permit as required by State regulations
- Six months prior experience in food service preferred
- Pass all health requirements and background checks
- Experience working with the elderly
- Demonstrate compassion for and desire to work with elderly
- Ability to communicate effectively with others
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Complete training as required by State regulations
- Six months prior experience in a food service department preferred
- Supervisory experience desirable
- Obtain Food Handlers Permit as required by State regulations
- Experience working with the elderly
- Compassion and desire to work with the elderly
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, vendors, and public
- Ability to work responsibly both as a team member and individual
Job Duties
- Work closely with Dining Services Manager to coordinate food ordering and preparation
- Ensure food is prepared in a nutritional and appetizing fashion
- Maintain supplies and kitchen equipment
- Uphold kitchen sanitation and safety standards
- Provide excellent customer service to residents, families, and staff
- Communicate effectively with vendors and general public
- Support teamwork and individual responsibilities in daily operations
