Job Duties
- Open and close the kitchen as required ensuring all operations run smoothly
- maintain a well-organized and efficient kitchen environment
- prepare and present breakfast lunch dinner and snacks daily ensuring high-quality standards
- create and present food for parent weekends and other special events as directed by the Chef de Cuisine
- execute menus generated by the Chef de Cuisine adhering to all recipes and presentation guidelines
- adjust meal preparations based on communicated dietary restrictions and preferences of clients
- provide healthful nutritious and organic meals and snacks as directed to support the well-being of our clients
- ensure overall kitchen cleanliness including regular cleaning of refrigerators freezers ovens floors and dishes after each meal and food preparation
- adhere to state health and hygiene requirements as well as Newport Healthcare standards
- engage positively with parents and other guests building appropriate rapport with clients to enhance their dining experience and foster positive associations with mealtimes
- participate in baking or cooking groups as directed contributing to team collaboration and skill development
