Job Duties

  • Open and close the kitchen as required ensuring all operations run smoothly
  • maintain a well-organized and efficient kitchen environment
  • prepare and present breakfast lunch dinner and snacks daily ensuring high-quality standards
  • create and present food for parent weekends and other special events as directed by the Chef de Cuisine
  • execute menus generated by the Chef de Cuisine adhering to all recipes and presentation guidelines
  • adjust meal preparations based on communicated dietary restrictions and preferences of clients
  • provide healthful nutritious and organic meals and snacks as directed to support the well-being of our clients
  • ensure overall kitchen cleanliness including regular cleaning of refrigerators freezers ovens floors and dishes after each meal and food preparation
  • adhere to state health and hygiene requirements as well as Newport Healthcare standards
  • engage positively with parents and other guests building appropriate rapport with clients to enhance their dining experience and foster positive associations with mealtimes
  • participate in baking or cooking groups as directed contributing to team collaboration and skill development
