Job Requirements
- must have five years experience in institutional food service or comparable
- ability to perform simple mathematical recipe conversions
- willingness to work day shift from 11:00 am to 7:30 pm including every other weekend and holidays
- ability to follow standardized recipes and safety regulations
- ability to maintain sanitation and cleanliness
- physical ability to perform cooking and food preparation tasks
- ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
Job Qualifications
- five years experience in institutional food service or related food service
- ability to perform simple mathematical recipe conversions
- experience working in a team environment
- knowledge of HACCP food safety procedures
- ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards
- good communication skills
- ability to supervise dietary aides or volunteers
Job Duties
- prepare all foods including soups, hot entrees, baked items, cold foods, and garde manger work
- follow standardized recipes and production schedules
- maintain clean and sanitary work stations following HACCP procedures
- produce and deliver foods to service areas timely
- check all foods daily for wholesomeness
- assist in inventory control by reporting low or missing items
- maintain cleanliness of refrigerators and freezers
- supervise dietary aides or volunteers as assigned
- maintain a pleasant manner with all customers
