Job Duties

  • Work well in a fast-paced environment maintaining good working relationships with all employees
  • Possess strong leadership skills and maintain willing cooperation of peers
  • Read basic English and communicate with management and back-of-house employees
  • Follow company policies and procedures for handling, preparation, and serving of food items
  • Handle knives appropriately with high safety awareness
  • Wear food-handling gloves and cutting glove
  • Make independent decisions about food quality and standards
  • Maintain high personal hygiene and follow health department regulations
  • Follow health department food handling regulations and other requirements
  • Wear proper uniform
  • Stand in one place for long periods
  • Work in a slightly smoky environment
  • Lift up to 70 pounds onto a utility cart without assistance
  • Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff
  • Be punctual for scheduled shifts
