Job Requirements

  • Prior health care experience preferred
  • Ability to work full-time or part-time with flexible availability
  • Willingness to maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Ability to follow federal, state and corporate food safety standards
  • Strong attention to detail and quality in food preparation
  • Ability to use kitchen equipment safely
  • Ability to stand for extended periods

  • Must pass relevant health and safety checks
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior health care experience preferred
  • Experience in food preparation and culinary techniques
  • Ability to follow standardized recipes and safety guidelines
  • Knowledge of food safety and handling standards including HACCP
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including full-time and part-time shifts
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Commitment to high standards of cleanliness and food quality
  • Basic math and record-keeping capabilities
  • Willingness to attend training and safety meetings

Job Duties

  • Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules
  • Serves meals using correct portioning, ensuring food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty
  • Uses established ticket collection procedures during service and maintains records
  • Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness
  • Stores or discards excess food following safe food-handling procedures
  • Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and neat while ensuring proper storage of food and supply items
  • Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed
  • Assists in production planning, record keeping, and reporting
  • Assists with ordering and receiving all food and supplies
  • Reports maintenance needs, faulty equipment, or accidents immediately
  • Attends in-service and safety meetings
  • Maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators, and managers
  • Performs job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment
  • Ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of serving temperatures following HACCP standards
  • Commits to personal and coworkers’ safety
  • Abides by company safety policies including use of gloves, mitts, slip-resistant shoes, and proper lifting techniques
  • Performs other duties as assigned
