Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent certification
- two years experience in managing or quantity food production in a commercial, military, or institutional setting
- ability to communicate job requirements effectively
- age twenty-one or older
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent certification required
- college credits or relevant technical training in food service preparation and cooking preferred
- prior cooking and correctional food service training preferred
- minimum two years prior experience in managing and/or quantity food production in commercial, military, or institutional setting or an equivalent combination of work experience and training
- ability to communicate minimum production/service requirements to all personnel
- must be at least twenty-one years of age or older
Job Duties
- Prepare food according to the menu plan
- manage inventory including placing and receiving food and supply orders
- ensure food quality and schedule preparations
- guide and train employees
- maintain high standards of sanitation and safety
- train inmate/detainee food service workers and inspect their work
