Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent certificate
  • two years experience in food preparation, food purchasing, kitchen safety sanitation, and menu preparation
  • proficiency in English reading and comprehension
  • ability to follow recipe instructions
  • positive interpersonal skills, particularly with elderly individuals
  • valid First Aid Certification may be required

Job Qualifications

  • at least two years experience in food preparation, food purchasing, kitchen safety sanitation, and menu preparation
  • ability to read, understand, and follow instructions in English
  • positive attitude and ability to work well with elderly residents
  • may require valid First Aid Certification
  • experience in senior care industry preferred

Job Duties

  • prepare appealing, nutritious, heart-healthy, tasteful and fresh meals for residents and guests
  • follow recipes, menus, and food labels accurately
  • maintain kitchen safety and sanitation standards
  • assist with food purchasing and inventory
  • collaborate with the dining services team
  • demonstrate positive attitude and work effectively with the elderly
  • comply with health and safety regulations
