Job Requirements

  • Previous culinary and knife skills experience is preferred
  • Ability to perform essential job functions satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Must be able to follow all company safety policies and procedures
  • Availability to work part-time schedule Tuesday through Friday, 10:00 am to 6:00 pm
  • Willingness to comply with a drug-free workplace policy
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in a kitchen setting
  • Must be reliable and able to work as part of a team
  • Willingness to learn and follow HACCP food safety standards.

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment
  • Experience operating kitchen equipment

  • Commitment to workplace safety protocols
  • Ability to work a part-time schedule, Tuesday through Friday, 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Job Duties

  • Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules
  • Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning, meeting outlined standards, ensuring that food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty
  • Uses established ticket collection procedures during service and maintains records from area worked during service periods
  • Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and stores or discards excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures
  • Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean, neat and ensures food and supply items are stored per standards
  • Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed
  • Assists in production planning, record keeping, and ordering and receiving of all food and supplies
  • Reports needed maintenance, faulty equipment or accidents to the supervisor immediately
  • Attends in-service and safety meetings
  • Maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators and managers
  • Performs job safely while maintaining a clean and safe work environment
  • Ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of serving temperatures following HACCP standards
  • Abides by all company policies and procedures including use of safety equipment such as cut gloves, oven mitts, and slip-resistant shoes
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
