Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Food handler permit or ServSafe certification required by first day
  • Minimum one year of cooking or food preparation experience preferred
  • Ability to follow instructions and recipes
  • Ability to stand for long periods and tolerate temperature extremes
  • Manual dexterity to operate kitchen equipment
  • Ability to lift and move heavy items
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members
  • Availability to work various shifts including weekends, holidays, and evenings

Job Qualifications

  • Food handler permit or ServSafe certification required by the first day
  • One or more years of line cook experience preferred
  • Ability to read and communicate effectively in English
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of safe food handling techniques
  • Ability to understand workflow, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Exceptional customer service skills preferred
  • Ability to prepare food according to modified diets preferred
  • Experience using commercial cooking equipment preferred

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook food items under general supervision
  • Follow recipes and instructions for food preparation
  • Prepare bulk food items and large-scale production
  • Maintain an organized and sanitary working environment
  • Ensure proper quantities of production and product rotation
  • Interact with customers in catering, retail, or patient settings
  • Deliver patient meals, cashier, stock supplies, and operate ware-washing machinery
