Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Food handler permit or ServSafe certification required by first day
- Minimum one year of cooking or food preparation experience preferred
- Ability to follow instructions and recipes
- Ability to stand for long periods and tolerate temperature extremes
- Manual dexterity to operate kitchen equipment
- Ability to lift and move heavy items
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members
- Availability to work various shifts including weekends, holidays, and evenings
Job Qualifications
- Food handler permit or ServSafe certification required by the first day
- One or more years of line cook experience preferred
- Ability to read and communicate effectively in English
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of safe food handling techniques
- Ability to understand workflow, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
- Exceptional customer service skills preferred
- Ability to prepare food according to modified diets preferred
- Experience using commercial cooking equipment preferred
Job Duties
- Prepare and cook food items under general supervision
- Follow recipes and instructions for food preparation
- Prepare bulk food items and large-scale production
- Maintain an organized and sanitary working environment
- Ensure proper quantities of production and product rotation
- Interact with customers in catering, retail, or patient settings
- Deliver patient meals, cashier, stock supplies, and operate ware-washing machinery
