Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • six months previous food service experience
  • ability to follow food safety and sanitation regulations
  • physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights
  • effective communication skills
  • willingness to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Six months previous food service experience
  • ServSafe certification
  • six months professional training at a culinary school
  • bilingual in English and Spanish
  • knowledge of therapeutic diets and batch cooking processes

Job Duties

  • Prepare season and cook food for patients staff and visitors
  • determine waste to ensure no over production of food
  • comply with safe food practices based on departmental policies and licensing standards
  • follow therapeutic diet requirements and batch cooking processes
  • maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen area
  • monitor food quality and presentation
  • collaborate with kitchen team to ensure efficient food service operations
