Job Requirements
- Ability to recognize and respond to dietary needs
- Ability to prepare and serve food and perform kitchen cleanup
- Ability to make prompt decisions related to food service
- Ability to manage time effectively
- Ability to follow infection control and universal precautions
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work in temperature-variable and safety-regulated environments
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum two years dietary experience in a healthcare facility
- Minimum three years supervisory experience
- Training in food service program preferred
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local food safety regulations
- Ability to manage kitchen staff and schedules
- Basic food safety and sanitation knowledge
Job Duties
- Prepare and serve meals according to recipes and therapeutic diets
- Review menus and inspect diet trays for accuracy
- Recognize and respond to dietary emergencies
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
- Wear protective clothing when required
- Complete dietary documentation and reports
- Report accidents and equipment issues promptly
