Job Duties

  • Prepare, cook, and present food items for breakfast, lunch, dinner, banquets, or room service, depending on shift and hotel needs
  • follow recipes, portion guidelines, and presentation standards to ensure consistency and quality
  • set up and stock workstations with all necessary ingredients and equipment
  • operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently (grills, ovens, fryers, slicers, etc.)
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen areas, equipment, and tools
  • follow proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures at all times
  • assist in prep work such as chopping vegetables, marinating proteins, and preparing sauces
  • monitor food supplies and communicate inventory or quality issues to supervisors
  • assist with cleaning and closing duties as assigned, including waste disposal
  • work collaboratively with other kitchen and front-of-house team members to ensure timely and efficient service
  • comply with hotel policies and local health department regulations
