- Proven experience in kitchen supervision or food service management
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation standards
- Ability to train and manage kitchen staff effectively
- Familiarity with therapeutic diet preparation and service

- Prior experience in a healthcare or residential care facility preferred
Job Duties
- Monitors the quality of food prepared and served to residents, visitors and staff
- Uses approved menus, recipes, and food service procedures in the preparation of food
- Assures all menu changes are appropriate and reviewed by the Food Service Supervisor
- Assures food is prepared for timely service to the residents
- Keeps food preparation and serving areas clean at all times
- Operates and maintains kitchen equipment in safe operating condition
- Assures the kitchen meets the requirements in accordance with local, city, and state regulations
- Prepares and assures timely delivery of tray service to residents
- Assures therapeutic diets are properly prepared and served as needed
- Reports any incidents to the Food Service Director
- Attends and participates in committees, training programs and staff meetings
- Performs other duties as assigned
