Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in food preparation or restaurant environment preferred
  • Ability to follow sanitation and health regulations
  • Capable of standing for extended periods and performing physically demanding tasks
  • Must have manual dexterity and auditory and visual skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
  • Commitment to uphold company safety and quality standards

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in food preparation or restaurant operations preferred
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions
  • Proficient interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to perform moderate physical work including lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to comply with company policies and procedures

Job Duties

  • Prepares or directs preparation of food served using established production procedures
  • Determines amount and type of food and supplies required using production systems
  • Ensures availability of supplies and food or approved substitutions in adequate time for preparation
  • Sets steam table
  • Complies with established sanitation standards, personal hygiene, and health standards
  • Stores food properly and safely, marking date and item
  • Reports necessary equipment repair and maintenance to supervisor
  • Plans food production to coordinate with meal serving hours to preserve food quality
  • Apportions food for serving
  • Maintains daily production records
  • Keeps work area neat and clean including dishwashing
  • Cleans and maintains equipment used in food preparation
  • Completes food temperature checks before service
  • Completes in-service training and complies with attendance and uniform standards
