Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- 5 years cooking experience
- food safety certification within the first year
- knowledge of infection control standards
- ability to follow federal confidentiality regulations
- availability to work required shifts including Sundays
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent
- supervisor experience preferred
- 5 years cooking experience
- serve safe and allergy awareness certified
Job Duties
- Compliance with federal regulations, 42CFR Part 2, confidentiality of alcohol and drug abuse patients and HIPAA regulations
- knowledge of infection control standards-hand washing, personal protective equipment (PPE) kits, blood spill kits, etc.
- food safety certification required within the first year
- opening/closing duties
- preparation and serving of assigned meals following approved menu by the Nutrition Committee
- take and record daily temperature of freezers/refrigerators and food at every meal and any other required temperature logging according to HPTC dietary policies
- utilizes standard precautions at all times
- other duties as assigned by the Site Director / Program Director / Director of Dietary to insure safe and appropriate operation of the facility
