Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- must be at least 18 years of age
- at least one year of relevant cooking experience required
- ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- prior experience cooking or kitchen experience in a cafeteria or large volume production facility a plus
- experience with safety procedures as typical in a cafeteria or food service environment

Job Duties
- Refer to daily prep list at the start of each shift for assigned duties and complete opening and closing checklists daily
- set up workstation with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
- safely use a variety of kitchen utensils including knives and other items
- operate a variety of kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers
- comply consistently with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, kitchen rules, recipes, policies, and procedures
- handle, store, label, and rotate all products properly according to applicable state laws
- stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products at line stations for smooth serving
- prepare and understand menu items and ingredients
- multitask in a high-volume kitchen environment
- handle hot and cold work conditions during food preparation
- stand and be on feet for much of the scheduled shift
- perform other related duties as assigned
