Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in food preparation or culinary environment preferred
  • Ability to work full-time in AM/PM shifts
  • Must be able to operate kitchen equipment including ovens, stoves, and slicers
  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 40 pounds
  • Must have strong manual dexterity and sensory skills
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Must follow food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Good communication and teamwork skills

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in a kitchen or food preparation role beneficial
  • Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and food safety guidelines

  • Capability to handle physical demands of the job

Job Duties

  • Inspect and clean food preparation areas to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices
  • Ensure food is stored and cooked at correct temperature by regulating kitchen equipment
  • Check food freshness, rotate stock, and follow labeling and dating procedures
  • Monitor, cook, and prepare foods to verify proper cooking using tasting and thermometers
  • Prepare stations according to company guidelines
  • Bake, roast, broil, and steam various meats, fish, vegetables, and other foods
  • Season, weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes
  • Wash, peel, cut, and seed fruits and vegetables
  • Carve, trim, and prepare meats and seafood for service
  • May bake breads, rolls, cakes, and pastries
  • Wash cooking utensils and equipment
  • Compile and maintain food usage records
  • Assist with inventory tasks
  • Follow food specifications and assist in forecasting preparation needs
  • Prepare and serve food to customers timely
  • Support culinary staff at various stations
  • Communicate kitchen equipment and supply needs to supervisor
  • Adhere to safety, sanitation, uniform, and productivity standards
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Perform other assigned duties
