Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous cooking experience in a restaurant or catering environment
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- Physical stamina to perform kitchen duties for extended periods
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant or catering environment with knowledge of meal preparation techniques
- Familiarity with fine dining standards and practices is preferred
- Strong understanding of food handling, safety, and sanitation guidelines
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings and weekends as needed
- Culinary degree or certification is a plus but not required
Job Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to recipes and menu specifications
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and standards
- Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed
- Participate in training new kitchen staff on cooking techniques and food safety practices
- Adapt recipes for special dietary needs or preferences as required
