Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous cooking experience in a restaurant or catering environment
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • Physical stamina to perform kitchen duties for extended periods
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant or catering environment with knowledge of meal preparation techniques
  • Familiarity with fine dining standards and practices is preferred
  • Strong understanding of food handling, safety, and sanitation guidelines
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings and weekends as needed
  • Culinary degree or certification is a plus but not required

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to recipes and menu specifications
  • Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and standards
  • Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed
  • Participate in training new kitchen staff on cooking techniques and food safety practices
  • Adapt recipes for special dietary needs or preferences as required
