Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Previous food service experience preferred
  • Ability to meet USDA nutritional guidelines
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Ability to work full-time, 32 hours per week during daytime hours
  • Compliance with health and vaccination policies

Job Qualifications

  • Highschool diploma or GED
  • Food service experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Plan and follow a weekly menu of well-balanced nutritious meals meeting USDA requirements
  • Prepare appetizing, healthy, well-balanced meals and snacks meeting all meal schedules
  • Inspect all food for quality and quantity prior to serving
  • Prepare meals for special events and holidays
  • Take necessary measures to avoid food waste
  • Set up and clean up food production
  • adhere to kitchen cleanliness and sanitary guidelines
  • Open and close kitchen and ensure proper food storage
  • Collaborate with program director to order and maintain supplies
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with food suppliers
  • Meet with direct supervisor for regular supervision meetings
