Job Requirements

  • Requires food preparation skills and knowledge of HACCP standards
  • requires a minimum of one year of closely related cooking experience
  • requires food knowledge pertaining to Soups, Sauté, Broiler, Fry, and Pantry
  • requires the ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and policy documents
  • requires the ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
  • requires the ability to bend, twist, and stand to perform normal job functions
  • frequently works with sharp knives, utensils, and hot plates
  • frequently works in hot environment

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum one year of cooking experience in a high-volume or casual dining environment preferred
  • knowledge of food preparation techniques including Soups, Sauté, Broiler, Fry, and Pantry
  • understanding of HACCP food safety standards
  • ability to speak, read, and understand instructions and policy documents
  • physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds, bend, twist, and stand for extended periods
  • ability to work in hot environments and handle sharp tools safely

Job Duties

  • Follows recipes and product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, tasting, carving and serving food items
  • communicates ticket times and potential problems to the manager on duty and servers
  • provides the highest quality of service to customers and associates
  • cleans and sanitizes workstations and equipment
  • practices excellent food safety and sanitation practices and complies with HACCP standards
  • operates kitchen equipment and measures and mixes ingredients
  • stocks, dates, rotates, and checks temperature of products
