Job Requirements

  • Three years of prior cooking experience
  • ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
  • ability to work flexible shifts including varying day schedules
  • ability to follow food safety and handling procedures
  • must be able to safely operate kitchen equipment
  • must abide by all company policies and procedures including safety requirements
  • valid work authorization in the United States

Job Qualifications

  • Three years of prior cooking experience
  • ability to prepare food in compliance with federal, state, and corporate standards
  • knowledge of safe food handling and kitchen cleanliness
  • ability to use kitchen equipment safely and effectively
  • good communication and teamwork skills
  • commitment to safety protocols and company policies
  • experience with production planning and stock management

Job Duties

  • Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions
  • serves meals or prepares for delivery using correct portioning and temperature
  • uses established ticket collection procedures during service
  • cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high cleanliness standards
  • stores or discards excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures
  • keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and orderly
  • operates and maintains kitchen equipment
  • assists in production planning, record keeping and reporting
  • assists in the ordering and receiving of food and supplies
  • reports maintenance needs or faulty equipment
  • attends in-service and safety meetings
  • maintains good working relationships with coworkers and management
  • performs job safely while maintaining a clean work environment
  • ensures proper presentation, portion control, and maintenance of serving temperatures
  • follows HACCP standards
  • commits to personal and workplace safety
  • abides by all company safety policies including use of gloves and slip-resistant shoes
