Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years working in a food preparation position
- hold and maintain a Food Handlers Permit
- commitment to quality service
- knowledge of food and beverage
- basic math skills
- knowledge of training techniques
- awareness of health and sanitation laws
- understanding of kitchen equipment use and maintenance
- ability to follow oral and written instructions
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
- college or culinary training preferred
- extensive cooking and production experience
- commitment to quality service and food and beverage knowledge
- basic math skills
- knowledge of basic training techniques
- awareness of local, state, and federal health and sanitation laws
- understanding of proper use and maintenance of major kitchen equipment
- ability to follow oral and written instructions
Job Duties
- Actively cook and lead the kitchen team
- prepare daily production lists
- ensure all stations remain stocked before and during meal periods
- verify kitchen staff follows recipes and portions correctly
- maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen, dish, and storage areas
- place food and supply orders as directed
- receive and verify product invoices and freshness
- hire and train employees to company standards
- set excellent customer service and work examples
- participate actively as a member of the management team
- manage staffing levels throughout shifts
- oversee kitchen labor and food cost to meet budgetary requirements
