Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years working in a food preparation position
  • hold and maintain a Food Handlers Permit
  • commitment to quality service
  • knowledge of food and beverage
  • basic math skills
  • knowledge of training techniques
  • awareness of health and sanitation laws
  • understanding of kitchen equipment use and maintenance
  • ability to follow oral and written instructions

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
  • college or culinary training preferred
  • extensive cooking and production experience
  • commitment to quality service and food and beverage knowledge
  • basic math skills
  • knowledge of basic training techniques
  • awareness of local, state, and federal health and sanitation laws
  • understanding of proper use and maintenance of major kitchen equipment
  • ability to follow oral and written instructions

Job Duties

  • Actively cook and lead the kitchen team
  • prepare daily production lists
  • ensure all stations remain stocked before and during meal periods
  • verify kitchen staff follows recipes and portions correctly
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen, dish, and storage areas
  • place food and supply orders as directed
  • receive and verify product invoices and freshness
  • hire and train employees to company standards
  • set excellent customer service and work examples
  • participate actively as a member of the management team
  • manage staffing levels throughout shifts
  • oversee kitchen labor and food cost to meet budgetary requirements
