Job Requirements
- Must possess at minimum a high school diploma or equivalent
- must have at least one year of dietary experience in a hospital, skilled nursing care facility, or similar medical facility
- food handler's permit is required
- any combination of experience and training which provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities
- must be able to speak, understand, and write fluently in English
- reliable transportation required

Job Duties
- Prepare food for regular and therapeutic diets according to planned menu using standardized recipes
- ensure food is prepared in proper quantity and in accordance with established time schedules
- utilize correct portion control utensils during preparation and service
- check and maintain proper food temperatures during preparation and service and record temperatures as per policy
- ensure adequate supply of food and supplies are available at all times, report inadequate stock levels to supervisor in a timely manner
