Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 0 to 2 years of related cooking or food preparation experience beneficial
- Ability to work varying shifts with open availability preferred
- Reliable transportation to arrive at the Piedmont Macon Medical Center location
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks required in a kitchen environment
- Willingness to comply with food safety regulations and company policies
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in a food preparation or cooking role preferred
- Ability to follow recipes and food safety standards
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Adaptability to work varying shifts including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Customer service orientation and friendly demeanor
- Basic knowledge of kitchen safety and hygiene practices
Job Duties
- Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and cold food items for various meal periods including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special catered events
- Read and follow basic recipes and product directions for preparing various food items
- Prepare food and serve customers at an a la carte and/or operate a grill station
- Attend work and show for scheduled shifts on time with satisfactory regularity
- Perform other duties as assigned depending on business necessities and client requirements
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the kitchen area
- Collaborate with team members to reduce food waste and optimize food preparation processes
