Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous cooking experience in a fast-paced kitchen
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items
  • Willingness to work in various food outlets within the resort
  • Commitment to team collaboration and excellent guest service

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a cook in a high-volume restaurant or hotel setting
  • Culinary school diploma or equivalent professional training is preferred
  • Strong understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure
  • Flexibility to work in different outlets as needed
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook meals across diverse food outlets ensuring consistent quality and presentation
  • Understand and follow recipes and presentation specifications set by the executive chef
  • Maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage
  • Operate a variety of kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
  • Manage time effectively to meet service, prep, and cleaning expectations
  • Assist in the development of menu items and daily specials
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures including health and safety standards
