Job Requirements

  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent education
  • Knowledge of State and Federal food-handling regulations, including food service operations
  • Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
  • Demonstrated compatibility with PHS's mission and operating philosophies
  • Ability to work part-time hours
  • Commitment to maintaining food safety and sanitation standards

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English to communicate with customers
  • Prior experience in a food preparation or cooking role preferred

Job Duties

  • Prepare and serve attractive, nutritious, and palatable meals consistent with regulations and established policies
  • Ensure compliance with State and Federal food-handling regulations
  • Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment
  • Collaborate with team members to plan and execute daily menus
  • Monitor food inventory and assist with ordering supplies
  • Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with residents and staff
  • Uphold PHS’s mission and operating philosophies in daily work
