Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • two years restaurant or experience as an institutional cook preparing large quantities of food preferred
  • ability to effectively communicate verbal and written forms of English
  • ability to follow company and department policies, procedures and directives
  • ability to prioritize and multitask
  • ability to be at work and be on time
  • ability to interact in a positive and constructive manner

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to effectively communicate verbal and written forms of English
  • two years restaurant or experience as an institutional cook preparing large quantities of food preferred
  • some post high school culinary arts training preferred
  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred

Job Duties

  • Be at work and be on time
  • follow company and department policies, procedures and directives
  • interact in a positive and constructive manner
  • prioritize and multitask
  • prepare quantity foods for patients, cafeteria, catering, and doctor’s dining room, follow cook's preparation methods according to standardized recipes
  • set up and serve hot food on patient tray line according to patient tray tickets
  • follow HACCP guidelines for all steps of food production, Title 22 and JCAHO regulations for food storage, safety and sanitation
