Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Culinary degree or 1-2 years culinary experience
- ServSafe certification or ability to obtain before or upon hire
- Professional food service experience
- Strong understanding of sanitation and safety requirements in hospital kitchen
- Good judgement and communication skills
- Ability to maintain a professional image
- Open availability for 40 hours per week, first and second shifts including weekends, nights, and holidays as required
Job Qualifications

- Culinary degree or 1-2 years of culinary experience
- Professional food service experience
- Strong understanding of sanitation and safety in food service
- ServSafe certification or ability to obtain
- Effective communication skills
- Experience in healthcare or hospital food service preferred
Job Duties
- Complete daily meal preparation, cooking, or clean-up tasks as assigned by Chef or Sous Chef
- Ensure meals are prepared following recipes explicitly
- Taste prepared meals to ensure quality and correct any issues with food quality and taste immediately
- Ensure presentation of prepared foods meets highest quality standards
- Notify Chef or Sous Chef about issues with inventory, equipment, safety, or sanitation and correct if possible
- Maintain attendance and punctuality for assigned shifts
- Adhere to sanitation and safety requirements in the hospital kitchen
