Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 1 year of related cooking experience
  • Knowledge of HACCP food safety standards
  • Ability to speak, read, and comprehend instructions
  • Physical ability to lift or move up to 40 pounds
  • Capability to bend, twist, and stand during work hours
  • Willingness to work in hot, fast-paced kitchen environment

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of cooking experience in a high volume or casual dining restaurant
  • Knowledge of food preparation related to soups, sauté, broiler, fry, and pantry stations
  • Understanding of HACCP food safety standards
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Effective communication skills for team and customer interaction
  • Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds and work in a hot kitchen environment
  • Capacity to stand, bend, and twist for extended periods

Job Duties

  • Follow recipes and product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, tasting, carving and serving foods
  • Communicate ticket times and potential kitchen issues to management and servers
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations and equipment
  • Comply with food safety and HACCP standards diligently
  • Operate kitchen equipment such as fryers, griddles, and other cooking appliances
  • Measure and mix ingredients, wash, peel, cut and shred fruits and vegetables
  • Stock, date, rotate, and check temperature of food products to ensure freshness and safety
