Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a cook required
- Ability to perform physical tasks related to cooking and cleaning
- Availability to work full time or part time Sunday through Thursday 4:00 pm to 10:30 pm
- Ability to adhere to safety and hygiene standards
- Ability to use medium weight cut gloves and other protective gear as required
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
Job Qualifications
- Previous cook experience
- Ability to prepare food according to standardized recipes
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work scheduled shifts including evenings
- Willingness to maintain cleanliness and organization
- Ability to follow company policies and procedures
Job Duties
- Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions
- Serves meals or prepares for delivery using correct portioning and ensures food is at proper temperature and attractive
- Uses established ticket collection procedures during service
- Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving maintaining cleanliness standards
- Stores or discards excess food following safe food-handling procedures
- Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and organized
- Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed
- Assists in production planning, record keeping, and reporting
- Assists in ordering and receiving food and supplies
- Reports maintenance needs or accidents immediately
- Attends in-service and safety meetings
- Maintains good working relationships with coworkers and managers
- Performs job safely maintaining a clean, safe environment
- Ensures proper presentation, portion control, and HACCP compliance
- Commits to personal and workplace safety
- Abides by company policies on safety gear usage
