Job Requirements

- Ability to follow food safety and handling procedures
- Capability to perform physical tasks associated with cooking

Job Duties
- Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules
- Serves meals or prepares for delivery using correct portioning, ensuring food is at correct temperature and attractive
- Uses established ticket collection procedures during service and manages records from area worked
- Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Stores or discards excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures
- Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and organized, ensuring food and supply items are stored per standards
- Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed
- Assists in production planning, record keeping and reporting
- Assists in ordering and receiving food and supplies
- Reports maintenance needs, faulty equipment or accidents immediately to supervisor
- Attends in-service and safety meetings
- Maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators and managers
- Performs job safely while maintaining clean, safe work environment
- Ensures proper presentation, portion control and serving temperatures following HACCP standards
- Complies with all safety policies including use of cut gloves, oven mitts, fryer gloves and slip-resistant shoes
- Performs other assigned duties as required
