Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook large quantities of food according to diet and menu cycles
  • Monitor food handling, preparation, meal service, and equipment cleaning
  • Serve meals with portion control
  • Supervise food service workers in the kitchen
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Maintain accurate cooking temperature logs
  • Discard expired food
  • Receive, store, and inventory supplies using FIFO method
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and dining areas
  • Assist in training new employees
  • Use proper infection control and safety techniques
  • Manage dietary personnel in the absence of Food Service Director
  • Update dietary cards
  • Participate in quality improvement activities
  • Maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive information
  • Stay beyond shifts if necessary to meet patient needs
