Job Requirements

  • food handler permit or ServSafe certification
  • ability to read and communicate effectively in English
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • knowledge of safe food handling techniques
  • ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines
  • availability to work shifts between 5am - 2pm and 11am - 7:30pm
  • weekend and holiday availability
  • physical ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy items, and tolerate temperature extremes
  • manual dexterity to operate kitchen and cleaning equipment

Job Qualifications

  • food handler permit or ServSafe certification required by first day of work
  • demonstrated ability to read and communicate effectively in English
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • knowledge and application of safe food handling techniques
  • ability to prioritize and manage workflow effectively
  • preferred exceptional customer service skills
  • preferred ability to prepare food according to modified diets
  • preferred experience using commercial cooking equipment

Job Duties

  • prepare and cook food items
  • serve customers and interact in various food service venues
  • follow recipes and instructions accurately
  • prepare bulk food items, specialty meals, and catered items
  • maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workspace
  • manage production quantities with proper product rotation
  • deliver patient meals, perform cashier duties, stock supplies, and operate ware-washing machines
