Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior cooking experience in a healthcare or food service setting preferred
- ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
- strong attention to detail
- basic math skills for inventory management
- good communication skills
- food handlers card or ability to obtain one
- compliance with health and sanitation regulations
Job Qualifications
- Can obtain a Food Handlers card
- meet all mandatory health requirements by state regulations
- read, write, speak and understand English
Job Duties
- Prepare and serve food to residents within the scheduled timeframe
- follow menu cycle, noting changes or substitutions made on proper form
- clean and maintain a neat, safe working environment, including the kitchen and food service areas
- comply with state sanitation codes
- maintain inventory control, place food orders, verify that items are received appropriately, and restock appropriately
- ensure that resident food preferences are known and followed
