Job Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- minimum of 1 year food preparation experience preferred
- ability to follow sanitation, safety, and dietary procedures
- ability to communicate courteously and effectively
- capability to delegate tasks and report issues
- compliance with health care and safety standards
- ability to work in a team-oriented environment
Job Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- minimum of 1 year of previous experience in food preparation preferred
- equivalent combination of education and experience considered
- previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting preferred
Job Duties
- Provide a welcoming and delicious culinary experience for residents
- ensures cleanliness of work areas, equipment, and utensils
- monitors and records temperatures in refrigerators and freezers
- delegates tasks to the prep cooks and dietary aides
- reports any issues or problems that may arise to the dietary manager
- complies with state and federal sanitation standards and all other applicable health care and safety standards
- promote and exemplifies the Priority Life Care mission and values at all times
