Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Food Handlers Permit required
  • 1-3 years food service or restaurant experience required
  • Ability to stand and walk for the duration of the shift
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must adhere to dress code including black pants and non-slip soled closed-toe shoes

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Culinary certification or degree from a culinary school preferred but not required
  • Food Handlers Permit required in accordance with Lincoln-Lancaster Health Department
  • ServSafe Certification preferred but not required
  • 1-3 years food service or restaurant experience
  • Basic working knowledge of food and beverage
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • Understanding of sanitation, cleanliness, and personal hygiene
  • Positive attitude and neat appearance
  • English preferred as primary language but not required

Job Duties

  • Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods including grilling, baking, boiling
  • Prep ingredients for cooking such as chopping, peeling vegetables, cutting meats
  • Basic understanding of food ingredients
  • Reading and executing recipes accurately
  • Making precise measurements
  • Ensuring proper storage of food items with receive dates
  • Proper handling of raw and prepared foods and non-food supplies
  • Testing food temperatures and understanding proper cooking temperatures
  • Distributing and storing clean pots, dishes and utensils
  • Washing dishes and taking out trash
  • Adhering to ASM Global dress code
  • Complying with safety regulations and procedures
