Job Requirements
- Prior high-volume cooking and food service experience is required
- Ability to work Monday through Friday, 5:30 am to 2:00 pm
- Willingness to adhere to all food safety and sanitation procedures
- Ability to use kitchen equipment and tools safely
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Must be able to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior high-volume cooking and food service experience
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to follow standardized recipes and portion control guidelines
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work early morning shifts
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and safety standards
- Physical capability to perform kitchen duties including lifting and standing for extended periods
- Commitment to safety and company policies
Job Duties
- Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules
- Serves meals or prepares for delivery using correct portioning, ensuring food is at the correct temperature and appealing
- Uses established ticket collection procedures and maintains records for area worked during service periods
- Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and storing or discarding excess food safely
- Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and organized, ensuring items are stored per standards
- Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed
- Assists in production planning, record keeping, ordering and receiving of food and supplies
- Reports maintenance needs, faulty equipment, or accidents to supervisor immediately
- Attends in-service and safety meetings
- Maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators and managers
- Performs job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment
- Ensures proper presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures
- Abides by all company policies and safety procedures including personal protective equipment use
