Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years old or older
  • Must be able to lift and carry supplies and equipment up to 50 lbs
  • Must have mobility to move and operate in confined work areas
  • Must be able to work inside and outside the restaurant
  • Must be able to read and understand tickets, recipes, and product specifications
  • Must be able to stand and walk throughout shifts of 4 to 8 hours
  • Must be able to hear well in a loud environment
  • Must meet state, county, or municipal health regulations for food handling
  • Must be able to work with potentially hazardous chemicals
  • Must tolerate extreme temperature changes in kitchen and freezer areas
  • Must meet uniform and grooming standards
  • Must be able to pass all required tests and training
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including holidays, nights, and weekends
  • Must possess excellent guest service skills
  • Must be dependable and able to learn and follow instructions
  • Must have reasonable oral and written communication skills in English

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior cooking or food preparation experience is advantageous
  • Knowledge of food safety and handling regulations
  • Ability to follow detailed recipes and instructions accurately
  • Strong understanding of menu items and product knowledge
  • Good communication skills in English
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Basic math skills including units of measure
  • Commitment to upholding brand standards and company policies
  • Physical capability to handle kitchen demands including lifting and standing for extended periods

Job Duties

  • Prepare, cook, and present food to order following established company brand standards guidelines and recipe specifications
  • Follow correct prepping procedures, utilizing prep charts
  • properly store and rotate perishable stock
  • Maintain proper food temperatures in accordance with brand standards and food safety regulations
  • Prepare special orders as requested
  • Maintain stock to shift par levels
  • Organize and maintain work areas, coolers, and storage areas
  • Assist with product inventory and deliveries as needed
  • Clean and take proper care of kitchen equipment including ranges, ovens, broilers, fryers, griddles, and utensils
  • Adhere to all safe food handling principles
  • Complete side work and deep cleaning assignments correctly and timely
  • Monitor waste and food cost controls
  • Address complaints and concerns promptly and courteously
  • Assist service assistants periodically
  • Willingly assist others without being asked
  • Provide prompt and courteous service to team members and guests
