Job Requirements

  • high school diploma preferred
  • ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
  • prior work experience with food preparation
  • ServSafe certification required
  • demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of the residents served
  • primary series of the covid vaccination is required or new bivalent covid vaccine

Job Duties

  • prepare balanced and nutritious meals according to dietary guidelines and patient needs
  • ensure all food is prepared safely and hygienically following ServSafe standards
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food service areas
  • assist with inventory management and ordering of food supplies as needed
  • collaborate with healthcare staff to accommodate special dietary requirements
  • monitor food quality and presentation to meet facility standards
  • adhere to all health and safety regulations in food preparation and handling
