Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year of professional cooking experience in healthcare kitchen restaurant or catering
- Ability to follow food safety and sanitation protocols
- Ability to handle physically demanding kitchen tasks
- Availability to work 32 hours per week with flexible shift schedule
- Ability to work early morning and weekend shifts
- Must comply with union regulations if applicable
Job Qualifications
- One year of professional cooking experience in a healthcare kitchen restaurant or catering
- Culinary education can substitute for one year of professional experience
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to work in a fast-paced high-volume kitchen environment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Basic math skills for recipe measurement
- Flexibility to work assigned shifts and weekends
Job Duties
- Prepare cook and supply food to various serving lines
- Clean and sanitize dishes utensils and work areas
- Adhere to food safety and health regulations
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Assist with inventory management and stock replenishment
- Collaborate with nutrition services team to ensure quality meal delivery
- Perform other duties as assigned
